Sega and Creative Assembly reveal the fifth game in the acclaimed Total War series, which is set during the Age of Sail.
Empire: Total War is about exploration and conquest, founding colonies and fighting wars away from home, and is an epic strategy game spanning the 18th and 19th centuries, in which you direct your nation to dominate Europe, North Africa, America, India and South East Asia. The player will use both complex strategies on the campaign map and fierce commands on the battlefield—both on land and sea. The game will feature gameplay correlating with that of the previous games in the Total War series, but with major additions to the campaign map and battlefield.
Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced
that it is developing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Vegas 2 for
next-generation consoles and PC. Developed at Ubisoft Montreal by the
same team that created the award-winning Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
Vegas, the highly anticipated sequel is scheduled for a March 2008
release. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the sixth iteration in the
wildly successful Rainbow Six franchise which celebrates its 10th
anniversary in 2008 with more than 16 million units sold worldwide to

We all loved Gears of War, right? How about Resident Evil 4? I though
so. Dark Sector is a third-person action game that borrows heavily from
these two triple-A titles, sporting an over-the-shoulder view in a dark
and gritty world, and even using Gears' pop-and-shoot gameplay
mechanics along with plenty of context-sensitive actions. Digital
Extremes has worked arm in arm with Epic Games in the past (Unreal
Tournament 2003, 2004), so it stands to reason that Dark Sector would
be influenced by their masterpiece. In Dark Sector, players will have a
small arsenal of firearms at their disposal, along with the powerful
glaive - a boomerang-like blade that not only minces enemies to pieces,
but can also be imbued with various elemental properties to inflict
even more damage or solve environmental puzzles. Add to that some
stealth elements and huge boss battles, and you've got a winner on your
hands.
